Marina Berths

The CCYC has a small number of permanent berths in its Marina for allocation to members. As demand tends to outstrip supply for all size berths, a waiting list is maintained by the Hon Bosun.

The list is compiled in October of each year and members who have renewed their subscriptions are invited to register the boat that they would like to be put on the list for the coming year. A non-refundable charge of £10 will be levied each year to keep the boat on the waiting list.

RULES FOR THE WAITING LIST

1 – Members may apply for a SPECIFIC named boat under 30 ft LOA.

2 – Members will be invited to take up a berth allocated by the Hon Bosun.

3 – The allocation will be made with reference to the suitability of the boat to the vacant berth. The following factors may affect this decision: LOA, Beam, Draft, and manoeuvrability.

4 – If more than one vessel is suitable for the vacant berth, the following factors will be taken into consideration:

  • The amount of time the member has been on the pre-2009 waiting lists.
  • The number of years the individual has been a member of the CCYC.

5 – On becoming a Marina berth holder the member may claim back the annual fee levied for the waiting list. This will be deducted from his/her first annual invoice.

6 – Members should be aware that the Marina berths are allocated and charged for on a 12 month period at the rates published each year.

7 – Members who use their boats fewer than 5 times in the 12-month period from October will not be invited to berth in the following year.
